Durban Botanic Gardens Centenary
100 years ago, ON THE 01 July 1913, the Durban Botanic Society handed over the Durban Botanic Gardens to the eThekwini Municipality, which was known then as the Durban Corporation.
This year, the City is celebrating 100 years of managing one of the oldest surviving Botanic Gardens in Africa. The Durban Botanic Gardens is 160 year old to date.
